IS THE D750 COMPATIBLE w/ Nikkor 55mm 2.8 AI?

Hello all, I've been searching and can't find a straight answer... I'm looking into getting the Nikkor 55mm 2.8 AI and just wanted to make sure it was compatible with the D750.

The reason I want to get this lens is to do some close ups of products. I’ve also read great things about the lens and I can get it for cheap!

Any help would be greatly appriciated.

I believe the 55mm macro is an F mount lens thus I think it is compatible but I am pretty sure it will not AF, only the later models of the 55mm Macro had AF capabilities

Perfect! I don’t mind the manual focus at all as long as it doesn’t ruin my mount or somehow ruin the mirror.

Nikon has a page that lists all the cameras and lenses that are compatible. I believe it's listed under "support".

The AI lenses will provide manual or aperture priority metering and manual focus only. The 55 is a classic macro lens with a solid reputation.
