Is the Nikkor 105mm Micro metal constructed?

Hey guys,

I got this awesome 105mm micro nikkor yesterday, and I just realized: apparently the first ones sold were made in Japan and were metal constructed? Mine is made in China, and I couldn't find out if they were metal or not. Also, is this lens weather sealed, regardless of metal or plastic?

You'll have to provide more information about the lens. Nikon has made several different Nikkor, 105 mm macro lenses over the years.

sorry about that. its the AF-S micro nikkor 105mm 1:2.8G ED
does that suffice?

If it's the VR version. It's a bit of plastic with a metal barrel. Yes, it is weather sealed (you can tell by the rubber gasket on the mount)
