Is there a 50mm f/1.8 for Sony? Howabout a decent auto-flash?

Can't seem to find one...

A friend has a Sony A100 and needs something better in low-light than his kit lens. Also, is there a decent full-auto strobe? One similar to the 430EX...

Any ideas?

I wouldn't recommend buying it at Circuit City though, I used to work there and the prices are marked up like you wouldn't believe, I'm sure it's at another store cheaper.

Sony uses the Minolta mount. So there are plenty of lens options...50mm F1.7 for example. (probably used).

Sony has the HVL-F32, F42 & F56 model flash units.

Sigma makes a 530 DG Super, that is dedicated for Sony. Metz also has a Sony dedicated model.
