Is there a GOOD free music downloader?

I had one that was pretty good until it wasn't. I've tried a dozen others. But something is wrong with all of them.

Music, as in copyrighted music being illegally distributed? If so you probably won't get much advice from this forum since most people here are pretty cognizant of copyrights.

I use iTunes to download and play music - it's free.

Spotify has a free part, it's streaming rather than downloading.
