Is this any good?

Not really, nope. The raw material isn't bad. You have a more or less sharp picture of a moderately interesting thing.

The photograph, however, is visually bland. The subject is centered which CAN be a good thing, but there should be a reason like strong symmetries to be emphasized. The default position should be somewhat off center. The light is flat, the subject is of relatively low contrast, and there's some junk in the lower right corner that's distracting, and serves no particular purpose.

Some tweaking of contrast with a curves adjustment, maybe push the color around, and crop it to place the burr (?) in a better place would improve it. Getting in a bit closer, to make the tiny fly more obvious would be an improvement as well, I think.
