I've had a few attempts messing around trying to create a good HDR image, I like the fake look you can get the most.
How does these look?

First one is fantastic. The colors look real, it's nice and sharp, and the composition is great.

On the second one, the plants don't look real.

Did you know TPF has a dedicated HDR forum section?

HDR Discussions
High Dynamic Range Imaging (HDRI or just HDR) is a set of techniques that allows a greater dynamic range of luminances between light and dark areas of a scene.

IDK. It's missing that 'wow' factor that HDR photographers crave.

If it's not loud, obnoxious and says "LOOOOOOK ATTTT MEEEEE" it's not real HDR.

But as for a photograph, you've got good tonal definition and the processing is really pretty good on the first one. The other is a bit murky, IMO and the processing is kind of distracting.
