Is Tumblr professional to host my photos?

I've been working on making a website to post my artwork up. I am a student and don't have the time or money to really "create" a webpage, and started using a Tumblr to host my URL and photos. I guess my real question or concern is, if Tumblr is a good place to host my photos?
