Istanbul at night - CC please

Here's a picture I took at night in Istanbul:

I should probably crop out the green fence on the left. I wasn't allowed to shoot behind the bars so I tried my best to zoom in through the 'frame' but I could do only so much.

And here's another one:

And this is my last one. I'm really annoyed by the glare on the left. Anyone have any suggestions as to how that can be avoided?

Also, any particular reason why the boat on the right looks so blurry?

The blurry nature may be down to the long exposure with the boat moving in the water.

CC wise there are two major issues. All of the photos have compositional issues because you've cut off parts of the subjects. You need to shoot wider. Light pollution is a huge issue here also. Ok Istanbul is a huge city and that's always going to be an issue. If you shoot while there is still some colour in the sky, this will be less of an issue. It's generally always best to shoot night shots before it is completely dark.

I actually zoomed in on the building in picture 2 to give it a creepier look. Do you think I should have framed the front yard and buildings nearby as well? I shot the pictures because I wanted to capture that pinkish tone in the sky which I thought would add more to the composition rather than a pitch black sky. Thanks for your feedback.

All three have some warm brown shift in the skies Glare can be fixed by using a lens hood... in a pinch you can use your hand.

Mully, I never used the hood for night photography. After reading your comment, I'll start doing that. Thanks for your feedback.
