I've really missed this forum! I've been so busy with school and work that I have been deprived of pretty much all internet! (all the fun stuff anyway)....

Took some pictures of my favorite subject (my 4-year old niece!) and figured I'd share!

What do you like/ hate!? Thanks guys! Glad to be back on here! Also please let me know if the colors are off or neon or something! I recently discovered my new touchscreen laptop is not yet color calibrated (lame :er

First impressions: 1) the crop is too close for me, but some like it that way. The image looks a little underexposed and the skin tone is very warm when compared to #2. 2) The armpit is not the most photogenic aspect of a subject, but I still like the image a bit. 3) I am curious how you did the B&W conversion. It is a little dark for me, but other than that it looks good.

And Western Guy thanks as well. I wanted to really catch the intensity in the face on the 1st one which is why the close crop. The warmth in her face is probably my rookie hand at post processing ! The armpit comment made me laugh! I totally agree I thought it was super cute tho since she's only 4 and usually comes up with her own poses! The black and white I did taking down the saturation and playing with the levels and contrast. I agree its a little dark. Black and whites are something ive being playing with lately to really try and get good at so I appreciate any help!

Can you share the Exif for these? The first one, I like the shot...crop, etc...but something seems off. Maybe it's just me...but I feel like something is bothering me. I actually prefer the color version of the last two. The B&W isn't bad, it's fine...personal opinion, but the colors are really nice. The brown of her eyes matches well with her hair, and I love the yellow and red. But either way, they're both good. Good job!

I'm no pro, though, so take my opinions for what they're worth (if anything lol). Anyway, TFS!

There aren't any modeling poses here.... just a tight crop and her holding onto a window sill. Sorry if you think that's wrong she just has a good face for pictures.

I'm a complete newb and have no idea where to get the EXIF info... if you can tell me where I can totally get it for you! And thanks! I really liked the colors too!

These are pretty soft.

Can you give me some advice about how to fix it? Or sharpen for web? When I open them in photoshop they seem pretty sharp but do look softer here. Thanks!
