Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
:)

I've always liked use of textures on photographs, but, to be honest, my attempts sucked. I gave up.

I saw Chris here, asked him for help few days ago and he was kind enough to give me some tips. Thank you Chris!

This is my take at textures. Give me your thoughts

Hmmm... not much to see there, yet. I get the picture icon, but no picture.

ok...fixed it

That's better...
The only critique I have is that her shoulder on camera right looks bruised. That may be because of your edit or it may be because it is...dunno.

Where exactly? I'm not seeing it
and it is me :)

I see what Amanda is saying but I think that it's a skin tone thing instead of a bruise. Right in the middle of the tri-angle formed by the shoulder, shoulder blade and armpit. Just has a hint of dark to make you think bruising.

Besides the blue shoulder, the area of the tattoo seems unnaturally dark. Like it's in shadow. Maybe all that is just her natural skin color. (?)

I'm a newbie at this stuff
but I would change the lighting a bit to get the tattoo in full light.

I see what the others see as a bruise too. Maybe that is just her skin tone and light working as a disadvantage here?

Ron nailed it on the spot I'm talking about. Its a discoloration, maybe a shadow.

Uh oh. Gonna have to see if I can enroll in Chris's university. I think you're definitely into something there. Nice model too. Lighting needs a bit of work due to the way the shadows lie. Looking at the textures, what gives the textures that Chris uses their realism, is that they appear pretty even across the image, whereas in your example, the center looks almost "blown". I'm sure it will take some practice to get the effect, but that's my immediate reaction as far as the textures go.

Ok people, I heard you.

Here's re edit

Better?

Amanda, Ron, thanks for pointing me to that bruise look :)

It's a bit in shadow and it's a bit the matter of her skin tone. It's pretty uneven.

I shot one photo more where I light the tatoo properly, and I'm going to finish that one as well, but here I wasn't so careful with the tatoo.

Got it!

Nice picture. . What does that tattoo read?
love and number 94, something meaningful to her and her husband.

Thank you for your thoughts! You all really helped me a lot!

Face and hair look lovely, I think it might be the way she's positioned - her right arm is somewhat forward and you can see almost a light circular shape to the right of the shoulder blade and to the left of the purplish area. Maybe the light and the angle it was hitting the body.

I don't necessarily like textures but I think this gives the background some interest. But I just noticed how the color changes, more purplish to the right of her, more reddish purple to her left - don't know if that was intentional or if that's because of the light that was in the background of the original. Not that it's bad or good, just a noticeable color change.
