What's new

it's binga's fault

Not sure how this has anything to do with textures. But I do like the background. A hair light or reflector onto the hair would help (especially if it's her hair that you are trying to show as a texture).

I like what you have come up with, my only criticisms are that she looks a little too pink/purple.... and be careful of creating a halo...look at the left side of the pic along her shoulder and finally don't let the texture become the focus of the image it should always be the subject....but all in all I still like it

The background is a texture.

Face and hair look lovely, I think it might be the way she's positioned - her right arm is somewhat forward and you can see almost a light circular shape to the right of the shoulder blade and to the left of the purplish area. Maybe the light and the angle it was hitting the body.

I don't necessarily like textures but I think this gives the background some interest. But I just noticed how the color changes, more purplish to the right of her, more reddish purple to her left - don't know if that was intentional or if that's because of the light that was in the background of the original. Not that it's bad or good, just a noticeable color change.

After reading all that you guys said, I decided to completely re edit this and come up with something between.

Thank you all!
