The glow is nice in how it halo's her head, but she's orange. It's beyond warm.

nice pic. but crop a little tighter. I see that one being really nice in portrait, not landscape. nothing interesting enough in the background for a landscape shot.

In portrait orientation. But the shot works. People love these. I always take advantage of the sun this way if out at the right time.

Here's my thoughts. in pic form

Hope it helps some.


1. This is original with an 8x10 portrait crop, eyes on power lines. Sharpened eyes and mouth a tad, brought down red a tad in mixer, and burned darks around iris a bit. took out tree bits at top of her head.











2. I was not sure about that tree near the top of her head so took it out, and the tree branch on the right...unsure about if I like it, so I edited it out and left some of the branch piece and turned it into a tree in background instead of branch in foreground.

sky looks weird when uplaoded, lol, web kill, I forgot to "save for web". maybe shoulda run a layer on sky to bring it down. anyway, you get the idea, you have the skillz. lol
