...but if any of you think otherwise, please let me know how you think I could have made it better.

Like Sparky said.. great color, wonderful detail.. but no head.. no eyes for us to make contact with....

Hmmm..."no head" hadn't even occurred to me. Obviously, the swan is facing away from me, but the wings are definitely what I was going for. I just think they have the most beautiful, angelic wings. I have studied their habits and know when they're about to air them out...so I wait, and when they start flapping I just hold down the button on continuous shot. Does the lack of this swan's face completely take away from the pic, or does it work if I call him the shy, incognito swan?

The lack of a head/face/eyes makes the entire image discontinuous... like lopping someone's feet off at the bottom of the image, or chopping their arm off at the edge.

As 480Sparky said, much better than the first. I am no pro, but I would have cropped the right side slightly more to remove that distracting ripple. It leads my eyes to see what caused it. Overall a nice shot though.

It was a duck...unaware of his intrusion...I will crop the ripple, thanks :D

I wouldn't crop the ripple out otherwise composition will be out. Try cloning it out instead. May have looked good if the swan was in the top left more to get the reflection, and for the swan to look down too.
