It seems you focused on the ice-cream cone rather than the kid's face. Next time aim for the eyes and you'll get far better results. It also seems to be a little dark.
Now, on the composition side, you include the whole hand or don't include it at all. But having just 1 finger down there doesn't look too good.
Anyway, nice attempt and expression. Keep it up!
