She is pretty new to the modeling scene. I think she was nervous... And I am still working on being more "calming" as a photographer.

That's what I'm working on as well. I do a lot of children's photos since I am naturally good with kids - they seem to like me. So as I work on my technical skills I'm trying to learn how to pose and deal with models. To get a smile I usually tell a story about something stupid I've done - I have a vast library of material!

Technical wise, I think you need more lights to create more separation and to make it more dimesional. Looks a bit flat.
