JPEG IRs instead of RAW

Hey guys,
I screwed up today pretty good and took ~12 different IR shots in JPEG instead of RAW. I never noticed until I got home to do the post processing. I've never made this mistake before and the jpeg's just aren't cutting it. Is there any way that anyone can help me save the images that I hiked all day for? Words of wisdom or tricks of the trade?

What, exactly, are you trying to 'salvage'?

The original image data has already irretreiveably been lossly compressed to an 8-bit depth, though you can do edits using 16-bit depth capable tools.
