Daughters first track meet yesterday. I concentrated on the hurdles, and some running events as that was what she was in. They didn't allow anyone on the infield so I couldn't take any of the long jump, high jump or pole vault.

Thanks, I would have preferred to shoot a lower ISO, but the weather was not cooperating and it was quite overcast. I would have liked to have been around 400, rather than 1600.

I'll try to clean up the noise a bit if I think about it when I get home.

Actually, the soft light from an overcast sky probably made for better photos. Otherwise you would have had really bright highlights and fairly dark shadows.
Here you have nice soft light, and good exposures...plus, you didn't get any blown white skies in the shots (these ones anyway), so that's good work by you.

This is Jr High. Buses, and crowds of kids milling about are par for the course. Thanks for your comments though.

Thanks! I appreciate your comments. I wasn't sure with the hurdles how much to crop out, so I probably left a little on the edges more than I should have.

I was torn on #3, and left the girl on the far right in. I could have made a clean crop and taken her out, but I decided against it.
