Just a duck

I was having a ***** of a time getting focus on this guy. Tried about 50 shots, lots of settings. I just can't seem to find the sweet spot on this 80-200 2.8 kinda frustrating. I shot some deer last night, and a beaver today as well as the duck. Had to do a lot in post to get it presentable. Even still it's soft.

I even had a tripod on the deer, but still crap. Each time was nearing dusk and kinda dark, had to jack up iso to over 800. The deer was pretty far away though...so I'm sure that didn't help. This duck was not that far though, I expected better. I'll figure it out one day I guess.

Here is the deer I was bitching about. It was a good 300Y away, so I guess i'm actually lucky I was able to get it, I dunno. It was sticking out it's tongue so i really wanted it in focus, after the noise reduction it's pretty soft though, looked like chit before nr.
