Thought I would share a couple of my favorites from a recent vacation to North Carolina.

3. A drive down the road less taken... literally (FYI never trust your GPS in the mountains!)

9. It snowed the last night we were there. Since we live in Florida and never get any snow, my wife couldn't resist the urge to make a little snowman... And I got to play with my flashes since it was getting dark.

I like the landscapes shots, but the snowman takes the cake! Great job, looks like you had a great vaca...

Nice, could be a bit bigger for us to view and critque, I like 3,4,9.

Cool shots. Too many to critique but I love the snowman :)

X2 on bigger images.

Thanks. And I edited the original post to make the photos a bit larger.

good shots, but i agree that the snowman takes the cake--very cute!

Glad you had a decent trip in my state. Grandfathers Mountain and the Mile High Bridge are staples as well as Forest Gump corner, (heading up to GF Mountain.... from he film). When I was just a kid, my family took a trip there and I began jumpin from boulder to boulder. Missed my footing and smacked hard on the rocks. There was (and may still be) a dinner nearby. I chomped into a cheesburger and my front tooth popped out,

Thanks. We try to make it up to NC every year, so far it has been our favorite vacaion spot. Sorry to hear about your tooth! When we were up at the top of Grandfather there was a family with 4 wild children running all over the place... it was really nerve racking seeing them running right up to the edge of the cliff.

Last time we were there we took a long hike that ended at a boulder with awesome views that I wanted to go back to and photograph, but my wife is pregnant and wasn't up to the hike this time so it will have to wait.
