Just a question on an old mystery issue with film?

A long time ago my grandma took me over to Blackpool in England for a 2 month holiday, was in grade 6.

I shot 2 rolls of film there over the 2 months but when mum or dad got them developed when i got back only a couple of the shots came out properly, the rest like 95% were just blank.

Had the camera with film in it " all used up and wound back up " & the other used roll in my backpack, my question is was it the X-ray machine at the airport that stuffed up my film?

Just an old mystery I'd like solved.

No, the x-ray would have "burned" a black curvy fog line. If the images came out blank that would be user error or camera malfunction.
