Just a Rose for C&C

Thought I would put this in for some C&C.

I'm a newb so whatever...

I would like to see you get a little closer to the rose and keep it off to the right of center. The space to the right of and below the rose is drawing my eye away from the subject. I like the Depth of field on this though. Keep it up!

Seems a tad under exposed to me.

"probablysmiling" is right: DOF is nice, but the composition is definitely lacking, as you placed the flower smack into the centre of your image, which is never good. The blue on the righthand side distracts from the subject, which doesn't fill the frame enough. And your subject is a tad underexposed, too, in that MissCream is definitely right.
