I think it would probably have been better in portrait orientation and with some of the trunk still in the shot...

even better in a wide angle with the entire trunk and a little bit of ground

it was too wide and I had no room to go farther away to get it in portrait perspective and the buildings behind the trunk are rather unattractive but yes, I do agree if that was possible it would be better

I love the shot. I believe the border adds to it. Could be just me though.
