Walking down the street today I saw hundreds..nay...thousands of these drawings on the sidewalk.
They continued for several blocks covering crosswalks, sidewalks and sometimes walls.
Didn't have any idea what they meant.
Turned down Mission street and the drawings disappeared and the street looked like it normally does.
With people....
...and dogs out in full force.
Continuing down the streets a few blocks I run into a demonstration parading up the street.
It's a rather eclectic one with some signs being about deportation, some about apartheid, some about Palestine and some about immigrant children that I now take to explain the drawings on the sidewalk a few blocks away.
After a while I decide to do like this gentleman. Pick up my guitar..or, well, camera and call it a day.
Somwhere in the city there's a cold cerveza with my name on it.
