Here's a shot I got of one of the cooks at a local restaurant yesterday.

C&C appreciated.

not exactly a flattering or attractive picture at all to me.
nothing has my interest, at all.

Honestly kegger, this just doesn't live up to the title. If the shrimp boiling kettle and propane burner were to be in the shot, it'd make more sense, but this is just a shot of a fellow in late afternoon or early morning back/side-lighting,standing in front of what looks like an old Dodge muscle car, and wearing an apron...I don't "get it". Also, not to pile on, but the B&W conversion looks muddy; this kind of shot needs local contrast. You need to set the black point, and then very carefully adjust the Tone Curve to get some "Snap!" in the lower tonal values...all you have are the highlights pegged, and then about four individual and rather muddy lower tonal values.

My impression is he's outdoors, watching over a batch of shrimp boiling...but the photo does not show anything...for all we know he's just finished a cig break...
