I have the alta pro 263AGH with the GH-100 pistol grip ballhead. Love it. That articulated center post is great for macro work and even with the weight of the MP-65E and the twin flash out on the extended arm it's pretty solid. I got mine on sale at Amazon last year for $189.

I spent like $700 on my tripod and head. It was the first thing I bought as a professional photographer, and I have NEVER regretted it. I went through a couple cheapies and they literally folded on me. (granted, one gave its life to save me from falling into a river with my D100 and a bag full of lenses).

A quality tripod is something you can hang onto pretty much forever.
