Funny, I have a picture of a gatorade bottle taken when I first got my 50mm 1.8 II lens. If I knew how to post I would post it. Tme to do my homework. Good shots for being lazy!

Well, I wouldn't call these "good shots" not even for being lazy. They are "first shots" by a beginner, test photos, or test snaps, as it were. No more. There's no photography in them, other than MAYBE in the second. That one is quite nicely lit from the window on the left (I assume), works with close-up, light and shadow, reflection, so there are a couple of good elements there. Neither of the others sport any of those.

The first might be funny, but there's too little context to appreciate the funny element. And it is too little contrasted (pp necessary, only the basics of pp, but it is necessary).

The third has all the wrong white balance and the lamp light therefore turned it all yellowish-red. Plus I find the subject only just annoying (bottle on floor ... next to more stuff on floor ... reminds me too much of my daughter's room, which is a constant nuisance).

And the cat photo is very poorly framed (cat cut off at the bottom but very much headroom) and the pop-up flash kills any indoor photo for me, anyway. Unless you got an external flash you can use for indoor photography, you should just leave it and wait for light to shine through your windows again - to make good use of that, like in 2.

Thx for the input. Yea these are just test shots really nothing spectacular about them. Just bored in my bedroom at 1am and the road shot was difficult to capture the humor.
