Harsh flash = hard shadows. It's cute, but I'd like some context for the wild hair action. Otherwise it looks like a kid playing in the studio, which is fine but not particularly intriguing by itself. Perhaps I'm over-thinking this..

I too, thought I went overboard with the contrast. I didn't really put much thought in this, just wanted to do a quick snap lol. I need new lighting gear:x

I wouldn't worry about the contrast, it can be a wicked cool style, I'd just add more separation and interest to the back ground(maybe some dramatic light). And maybe square the camera up to her. You've got the beginnings for a killer "fashionesque" shot.

My problem is that I dont have any other lighting gear other than my horrible pop up flash on my camera...:x I'm getting a off camera flash soon. Do you think this could be fixed in pp? And if so, how?

Nothing terribly wrong with the pop-up flash. Sometimes you have to work with what you have. Since that is all you have for lighting, I would have pulled your subject away from the backdrop a lot more. Cool concept though.

Funny you mention that, I just thought about if that would help. Will give it a try, & thank you

I think you could so something about it in post, maybe add some clarity to bring the contrast up another level, or I might even de-saturate or go B&W. You have some cool stuff to build on! and definitely go off camera, maybe splurge on two if you can, to give you the kind of photo-realistic fashion look!

get yourself a puffer. they are cheap and can help diffuse your pop up flash. ;-)
