Just know that the speed of the card does not increase the 5 frames per second your camera is capable of shooting.

Yes it doesn't. It will clear the buffer quicker and prevent bottlenecks. A good card will write about 2 frames per second (36mpx). So presuming buffer size is 100 shots at raw, in 20 secs 100 shots would have been taken and 40 shots written to card. Effectively freeing your buffer at a rate of around 40% in burst mode.
