Out at the drag strip with some friends....unfortunately none of my car since it was down due to tuning issues but let me know what you think

Man, that looks like a pretty open track. All the ones close to me are extremely aggressive at keeping people, except the facility hired photographer, away from those kinds of places you got to.

Cool! Are you allowed to go down the track (outside the barrier obviously) and shoot as they're approaching?

and yeah, a different p.o.v would go a long way here.

Yeah you have to be part of the "pit crew" and you get a restricted pass and can go to the center where the drag tree is and take pictures. Also yes it was an 1/8 mile track unfortunately its all we have close to us.

This. Getting some shot of them coming at you or panning from the side would make the images much more exciting, IMO.
