Please number your photos so we can easily refer to them. Improve exposure and composition. I assume you wanted the walking stick in-focus, but it isn't. The selective colouring in #3 is gimmicky in most situations, by most standards.

Keep working at it. It's fun!

I would suggest that you need to work on aspects of your composition - something we all had to work at when we started out and some of us still do - work at our composition that is. I would encourage you to surf the web, butyou could start with - Advanced Composition -- Part I - there are two following web siteswith the links at the end of the site. As well, have a look at this one - PhotographyComposition Articles Library as there are a number of links to sites on composition. There are anumber of books that have been written on composition - you might want to lookat one by Bryan Peterson called Learning to See Creatively - Amazon.com: Learning to See Creatively: Design, Color& Composition in Photography (Updated Edition) (9780817441814): BryanPeterson: Books. Thereare lots of others. If you google "photography composition", you will get more hits than you could read in a lifetime.

I would also restate what Jaemie has suggested - number your images so that a reviewer can refer to them more easily and leave some more space between them if you can. Keep at it, it is well worth it.
