Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
I found out today that the band KANSAS will be in Erie,PA tonight, so of course I'll be there taking some pics. I'll be using my 'new' used 50mm 2.8 Sigma lens I got as partial trade on my 24-120mm Nikon. I'll post pics later, wish me luck! lol

Carry on wayward son!

Lighting was definitely a problem, so I'm VERY disappointed in my pics but will post 1 maybe 2. I can handle lower light with my 50mm 2.8 and my 35mm 1.8, but NO light is a problem I cannot. The lighting was bad and the crowd was huge, and they got ignorant! Kansas had to leave the stage after song 1 due to high winds, but we waited it out and they went on again. I wasn't able to get close enough for good pics, grrrr! The only reason I got as close as I did was I followed an event photographer as far as I was allowed to, then crept into the crowd. It was a disappointing night, but some music was decent. I left before they played the hits as I couldn't handle the idiots anymore. Night band photos aren't for me, I know this now! lol

p.s. It was so dark for this show that my 2.8 wasn't enough so I used my 35mm 1.8! I still had a few issues until I put my flash on, which is why they are in landscape orientation :(

Too bad you didn't get any good opportunities :/ It's a great band.

If you want access to the "trench" (the space between the stage and the crush-barrier);

I have found that most of the time you get access just by going there before they start to play with the longest lens attached + lens-hood + flash and just looking confident. :)

And if you have bought a battery-grip you look even more professional, they just have to let you in :lmao::lmao:

Sometimes if the arrangers isn't too strict you can call before and get your name written down so you can get access too. I think most bands/artists enjoy good photographers who give them free publicity.
