Kingfisher on a lousy dark day

Thick heavy cloud and something I normally try and avoid, but what the heck. No chance for BIF's with these settings and softened the background in some of these shots. Anyway a good lesson.

I was laughing my head off at #1...it's like a tv show at noontime I passed by while downstairs...it is called "Outnumbered" -- I am always amazed at how men anchors can sit in front of two women yakking their heads off at him or how passionate their replies are that they always end up talking on top of one another...(maybe men do that too but I haven't seen it as often as women does...)

On #2 I suppose you can clone out the back twig (or not) if you do not think it is pretty...
#3 is a cutie too...love the expressions of 1 and three...
#5 is pretty like me -- once I am out of the house I wouldn't have a clue on directions if I do not have my GPS...
#6 is too serious for comfort, looks like one of my kids when he is thinking...you are suddenly aware there will be trouble afoot soon.
#7 is another cutie...

I love them all, Danny...and love your commentaries on each one of them...sorry for the long post, I think I am resting now...instead of yakking. ha!:er:

Great shots Danny, love the last one in particular, just amazes me how birds can do that with their necks.

Very cool pics Danny, I also really like the details in the second one. Even the iris is clearly visible
