Kings River Sunset

Another one from Kings Canyon National Park.

This is my 2x3 edit. I've also edited to 4x5 which includes less of the foreground boulders and puts the shoreline nearer to a 1/3rd line. Sky shows better on that edit but less emphasis on the foreground. Not sure which direction to go.....but the 2x3 vertical does seem a bit "thin" to me.

I'd love your thoughts on the composition.

Hi Maria...I "feel" that too. But it was level per my camera and I made sure the trees were straight. Thanks for your comment.

The trees appear to be vertical and the bridge nearly flat (many bridges crown in the middle, which makes them appear to be tilted off-level on each end). Maybe it's just the water's edge that bothers you.

Desi, it's difficult to critique low resolution images. I believe TPF allows its members to upload quite large pictures. I have uploaded several that were over 3000px on the long side. Makes it easier to see if there is noise, blur, spots and other problems. As far as your composition on this image, it's not perfect, but the picture is pleasing. You might want to revisit the site and see if you can find a better perspective/angle. The bridge is an interesting element you might want to explore.
