Kodak Hawkeye Flashfun

I recently purchased a kodak hawkeye flashfun from an antique store and I also purchased some AG1B bulbs off of ebay. When I tried to test out the flash however the camera burnt my bulb? Is that natural or do I need to find better bulbs?

Normal. They are one-shot bulbs.

The burning of the bulb's filaments is what creates the light in a flashbulb.
