Kodak P850/Panasonic DMC-FZ7

Does anyone have any experience with these cameras? I'm thinking about buying one or the other soon but i can't decide on one or the other.

Are there any other cameras I should look at in the $300-$450 range? I'm open to any and all suggestions.

I currently shoot with the p850. I love it, my last cam was a simple point and shoot and having full control without having to carry around all of the DSLR lenses is nice. you should be able to find it cheap (under 300) online as Kodak has replaced it with the p712. If you decide to get it make sure it has the 1.01 firmware.
Also if you wanna see lots of examples of pics, go to the dpreview kodak forum (not the dslr one) and check some of the mirad of pics folks put up.

Does yours take good night pictures? One thing I'll be shooting soon (if i get a new camera) is a night time picture of a starry night.
