Lace Leaf

This is another set I've sat on trying to get it right (for far too long lol). I found the leaf when out on a walk and brought it back and put it on my iPod to shoot these.

I'm really close to really liking these but figuring out the compositions ... ugh! Because of the angle I was shooting at I ended up with a bit of pano feel to them.

Would love to hear your thoughts

I wish there was a little more room at the bottom on this one.

Of these three, it's only the second that works for me and makes me wish I could see it somewhat larger.
The first is too yellow, though the leaf is an autumn leaf and yellow would normally work, but the incandescent light is too yellow. Plus I'm not fond of the compostion at all, as it is so "narrow" and the "laces" show too little (to my mind).

The odd yellow is likely my fault, all of these were shot outside on the deck with no additional light added so I suspect I warmed it up too much. I agree about the narrow crop, I'm iffy on it also.
