Lack of mountains

Ahhh.....Welcome to the extreme flatness of central IL farm country. I am so envious of all the great landscapes I see on here involving beautiful mountains, rivers, forests, etc....

Both shot with my new wide angle/zoom lens, which I am secretly in love with.

Shake hands on flatness. No mountains where I am, either.
And I think your vast, flat countryside just offers itself for wide angle pics with lots of sky in them (just as the ones you took! ). I am not surprised to hear you are secretly in love with your wide angle lens. Why not make it official. Why not tell us that you are in love with it.

I went to school in Central Illinois, why did it never look this good on my trips back and forth? LOL....awesome shots. Love the blue and gold together.
