Ladybirds being harassed (PIC HEAVY)

Hi all,

See below a selection of pics from a single session trying (and failing) to focus stack ladybirds. Seems like the little beasties get a hard time from the other insects:

As always I would be grateful for any feedback.

I really need to incorporate noise reduction.

This is a nice set! I can't advise you on focus stacking, but I do like your varying DOF choices and the composition of these.

I think #7 strikes me the best, visually. Nice diagonal line from the stem, and the balance from the 2 ladybugs (that's what we call them on this side of the pond) just above the bee is very nice.

I wanted to try and get a 10 shot focus stack using a very narrow DOF to see if it was better than using F32 to get all of it in focus.

I like blurry backgrounds

Turns out Ladybird / bugs dont stay still long enough.
