So, could someone tell me how this turned out as well as it did? I surprised myself with this, no my camera wasn't on auto, but little was done from my end - yes it was luck.

Beautiful. Fantastic shot, I'm a sucker for sunsets over mountains. Especially mountains by lakes that add a nice reflection.
