I like the idea, but the shadows look a little too black and many of the darker areas have a sort of halo around them.

I think it's a lovely abstract, and I like the sense of flow/direction from right to left.

That DOES look like a sharpening halo on the left on the extreme left, but I think it's just backlit? Whatever it is, it's a trifle distracting once you see it. I am torn between suggesting that you "fix" that as well as the little blob of stuff in the lower right corner and so on, and urging you to leave the stuff alone. If you "clean" it up, you'll wind up with a purely graphical abstract, and if you leave it alone you keep a little bit of that sense of reality in with the abstraction.

I think it would be a fine image either way, but I think I like it better un-cleaned-up, with that subtle sense of the real in it.

Thanks for the comment, Ken. I was going for a sort-of silhouette effect with this one.

I agree, Amolitor.... I left the subtle flaws because...hey, they were there! I prefer this type of image to have the little "real" flaws, as well.

I am re-posting this image as a mini-series that I ended up with from this mornings shoot. Thanks for your comments, fellas. I didn't even notice the halos..I am out of time now, but I'll revisit it and fix-er-up later. If you are interested, the link to the new thread is here.
