Falls B&W by Trever1t, on Flickr

Falls in the valley. Quick double park, setup the tripod and snap a quick one...you like?

Pretty cool. HDR?

The framing and camera positioning are both very good! The waterfall looks excellent, due to just a wonderful shutter time for the speed of the water and the distance/size in the frame of the waterfalls. I like almost eveythiung abiout this photo--EXCEPT the bottom edge of the frame...what the heck is going on down there with all that weird blurring? The entire bottom fifth of the frame, from the two tree tops and downward, and all across the bottom land mass, there is a very disturbing, jarring blurring. What's the story with that? Was that added in post? Whatever it is, it's visually killing an otherwise nice shot.

Was hoping you wouldn't notice ;)

Thank you very much for the kind words, I'm very flattered. The distracting blurr is an artifact of the method I used in PP. I'm learning on the go, so to speak.

Wonderful shot overall.

My quibble is that the sky looks fake. If it really looked like that, which would be pretty freaky, then never mind, but if not, perhaps you need to back off a little on the darkening.

It really did look like that............

but about a stop or 2 brighter :D I think it's more dramatic and contrasts with the subject nicely, which was the intent.

To achieve this shot I literally had to get permission from a priest...

to park at his church during a funeral and run across the street camera and tripod in hands. A total of 3 minutes spent from bumper to bumper.

This is an iconic shot, done well enough techically. Now, instead of being in a hurry, go there and take your time. That way you can find a way to make the shot yours.

I thank you and yes, I really really want to hit the park in or around late October when the crowd is gone and it's a much slower pace all around. Convincing the wife to bear the cooler weather is the battle ;)

Great shot! Love it.

Thanks again :D
