Landscape calendar and postcards

Im working on doing landscape shots of 12 beaches of Samoa then putting them into a calendar, the same shots will be used in postcards too.

Would you recommend me doing every shot during the magic hour or switching it up a bit? I find beach shots during sunset are a lot better then during the day but thats my opinion.

Ill be shooting with a 5d mk III, 24 mm 1.4 and a standard tripod i picked up at a local store.
Would you recommend a ND filter? I haven't got one at the moment but I'm thinking of placing an order.

Let me know what you guys think and if you have any ideas i should consider.

I would do all of the shots at all different times. There is no "ONE" rule for landscape photography. Look at the scene, and try and evaluate what will work best.

You're using $5,000 worth of equipment (not to mention you felt the need to point out that you've got a cheap tripod), and you're asking how to shoot pictures of beaches?

Am I missing something here? This is like buying a $5000 guitar and only knowing how to play the first 5 chords of stairway to heaven.

Are you familiar with what's there? If not you should do some research, like what kind of geographic features, directions, time of the month you will be there, tidal schedule etc.

These info will tell you what kind of photos that you can take, such as night landscape(with moon light), star trails (without moon light), sun rise, sunsets, waterfall, waves, etc. Also, if there are any local festivals, cultural practices, agricultural activities, you can get some cultural based shots apart from pure landscapes.
