Landscape photography

whats the best settings and exposure for sharp landscape photography? I am just trying to brush up on my techniques that I have all ready known.

Hyperfocal focusing should cure it. I haven't had a chance to test it yet, and also my camera and lens don't have the infinity mark so I'm not to sure I understand it. But google 'hyperfocal' and you'll find lots of pages about it.

Hmm...I know I have seen this on my lens but I am still kind of confused on how to use it. I try something once I return home. I am Afghanistan and I cant take much pictures.....since its gotten way to dangerous.

Just use a small aperture over let's say f/11 and a very good tripod.
