105 mm is a very good focal length for landscapes. Only slight downside to using a macro lens for distance shots is that the lens is optimised for close focusing so the IQ might be a bit less than if you had used a lens optimised for distance shots. I have never found it to matter in practice.My second ever attempt at landscape, not sure if they are any good. Used my 105mm macro lens because it's what I had. Probably not the best choice here. Anyway...
