Last rose of summer

Got rained on during my walk yesterday. This was still blooming in my neighbor's yard.

Lovely, three-dimensional appearance to the rose,and the water droplets add a lot. I like the deep depth of field on the rose--it's pretty easy to end up with shallow DOF. If it were me, I'd crop off a tad on the top of the frame. Ahhhh, I hate to think of it being time for the last rose of summer...but doggone it...it's gettin' to be that time, isn't it....

Thanks, glad you liked it. It may indeed be the last rose as tomorrow night the weatherman says our first frost risk arrives -- going to be close and I still have green tomatoes.
