recovered from recycle bin ...posted couple days and and apparently was really strong halo around bird (i couldn't see anything on my screen). this is my last try to save this one. it's also cropped (about 1/3 ).

Seagulls are everywhere. You can reproduce this shot under better conditions with little difficulty.

What application do you have for editing?

Duplicate the layer, select the bird with your favorite selection tool, Refine Edge, make an Exposure adjustment layer, so you can increase the exposure of just the bird 1.25 stops.

I'd show you what it could look like, but you don't allow editing of your photos.
