Late season plant life

It was nice out and I decided to just go for a walk around the parks and see what I could find with no real purpose. I ended up spending a lot of time shooting plant life and fall colors. I know the 2nd & 3rd ones are not flowers, but I thought it was cool plant life and had some color.

Funny. The first makes me think of our national flag.
Good DOF. The centred position of the flower works well here, I think. There are some of those flowers left here, too. But none are red in the middle.

I am not too fond of the PS treatment that you gave the second photo. But I quite like focus and DOF in the third. And the red is a lovely red.
