Went to see "The day after tomorrow" on the weekend and all i can say is that the popcorn was great and up to my expectations.
What ever happened to having a decent storyline in a movie?

1 out of 5 for the movie
4 out of 5 for the popcorn

Anyone else seen anything lately worth commenting on????

I saw The Dya AFter TOmorrow but I knew it was going to be stupid and hollywoody so I was actually surprised as it turned out better than I expected.

Its made by the same people who made Independence Day. It is Independence Day except the aliens are tornadoes.

Watch out for the guy on the mobile phone with 3 tornadoes above his head. YEAH!!!

I give it 6 out of 5

I lurrrve me some Quentin T baybay !
Anything that man puts out gets seen at the movies , bought on DVD and watched another 50 times by me and whoever I can pay to sit beside me long enough to watch the movie :LOL:

I got talked into going to Van Helsing. It was bad! I kept hoping my friend would say we could leave. She later told me she was going to suggest we leave but when she looked over I was sleeping. :lol

Maybe not worth a trip to the cinema, but it was an entertaining film, although those "brides" weren't acting too well.

Never seen Gladiator and really not thinking about going to see Troy either. Not my type of movies.

I stayed home and watched Return of the King on DVD.

Much better than the crap at the theaters now.

Just about everything these days sucks. Besides LOTR and Kill Bill vol 2 everything I've seen in the last couple years has sucked.

Rented Elephant last night thinking an independent type of film would be better... we were wrong. It was horrible. :roll:

We saw The Asphalt Jungle last night. Good stuff. How come no one makes any good old noir anymore?

Saw Shrek 2 a week or two ago. Didn't think it was that bad, but definitely not as good as the first. What I don't like about the Shreks is how dated they make them with some of the references and the music. They really could be timeless fairy tales but they have to ruin it that way.

I can't remember what else we saw lately. We are trying to go to the $3 theater every Sunday for a movie and some pizza. It's better than staying home and watching how crappy the Simpsons has gotten.

I agree. The Simpsons is (was?) my favorite show but watching it get worse and worse over the last few seasons has been painful.

Troy was ok but there were way to many boring parts that made sitting in the theatre hard to do. :0)

And todays TV really sucks. What ever happend to good family comedy sitcoms? LIke Home Improvement, Cosby show, etc. Theres not much on tv that is that enjoyable anymore. And now a bunch have ended for the summer like Enterprise and Smallville.

Theres suppose to be a bunch of new shows as well, and what I read from them, they wont be on longer than a month, when the tv companies realize they are showing more garbage and yank them off the air. And even more reality tv shows. They sooooooooooo suck.
