Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Yes... I'm still working on these. Taking FOREVER.

I took a more basic approach with the backgrounds. Partly because I'm having difficulty thinking of what would make a cool background, partly because it's difficult to find the backgrounds I want, and partly because I think these look kinda nice (especially Belle, #3). It's also taught me a little about creating artificial shadows. On #3 I discovered that making the shadows farther gives the illusion that the model is farther from the background. I may or may not want to implement this with the others as well. Anyway, what do you think of these 3?

1. Elsa

2. Anna

3. Belle

Thanks!

EDIT: New versions of these images have been posted below. Also, here is another image I would like some feedback on:

Elsa looks pretty, and at the same time, a bit odd with that looooong drop to her shoulders. The other two princesses just look weird to me. Elsa appears just squished into the frame, and the other two have visual tension where they approach the frame edges. Yes, great idea DGM, to expand the canvas in post, and give them a bit more "air".

Yeah, the area between neck and shoulder seemed strange to me too. But what's weird about the others?

I looked at some other photos of her and it turns out she's got some noticeable shoulder/clavicle placement!!

Here are some edits with a wider crop.

$DSC_0197.webp or.... this version.. turns out she just has huge traps: $DSC_0197.webp

Is it ethical to edit a photo like this?? :/

Yeah...I thought Elsa was just an outside the norm body type of person. It gives her a very striking "look"...very powerful, very regal. With her shoulders relazed, it exaggerates the length of her neck and makes her bust seem to be riding low, and makes her neck appear super, super long. It's really interesting. As to the other two princesses...I dunno...the red haired wig and braids just looks, so, well cheezy and fake, like a cheap nylon wig.But that's not your fault.

The third princess, Belle, has odd lighting that comes in from low and off to the right side, and that looks kind of odd, kind of well, strange. Her face looks weird due to the lighting. Her one arm is almost blown-out white, and the light on the face is strong and bright. The camera height is also oddly high, and she looks almost bent at the waist...like you were too CLOSE to her, with too SHORT of a lens focal length, the rendering of her looks exaggerated, clownish...just not a pretty way to show the body. her body features seem exaggerated to me. I am gonna guess 50mm lens from too close.

I dunno--maybe you WANTED a distorted body rendering? I do not know. Belle just looks, well, odd to me.

Any thoughts on my Elsa trapezoid edits?

And Belle was actually sitting down for that image, which may explain the angle.

I dunno...is it ethical to dress up as a real princess, and pretend to actually BE a princess, when one is not actually a real princess? And my answer is in that little riddle.

Second, when you said she "just turns out she has huge traps", I thought that "huge traps" was some kinda' code word for huge bewbs...I was like," What did he do to her bust in this edit? I don't see anything there!". But then I saw it, and it looks fairly credible, like the image has been retouched a bit, but we're in a fantasy world of dress-up here, so whatever you want seems reasonable.

Good point! xD

The newest added image looks very real! And she has a pretty good, three-dimensional feeling to her, due to the way you lighted her. I think her shadow-side cheek is a tiny bit too dark, but overall, I like the way the light setup really sculpts her face, and how it plays against the satin gloves. It's definitely not a flat, boring lighting pattern. It;'s actually kinda bold. I think it is the most interesting of the princess shots.

Thanks, I like it too! :)
