Awww :shock: --- that second one is MARVELLOUS!

I can console you, though: here the "casualties" from last year are now all being replaced by the wonderfully green newcomers to the world of foliage!!

heh thanks, i had to take about 10 shots to get it focused, lying on my bcak staring almost straight into the sun with a high F, so the view finder wasn't easy to see the focus.

I don't like the DOF choice in the first one. I found i stared at it for a while waiting for the photo to load and clear up.

Second one is my fav! The first one, I know what Do'Udren is saying regarding the DoF, but I kind of like it the way it is. It's almost like waves of focus and out of focus. An interesting effect.

thanks, that's the idea. show the undulations in the leaf. the thing isn't 2D you know why try to hide it's depth?
